Wrong!

When merging onto a highway or freeway from an entry ramp/lane you should -

  • Sound your horn, turn on your indicator lights and move onto the highway or freeway.
  • Stop and check the traffic behind you on the entry ramp/lane.
  • Look for a large enough break in the traffic and adjust your speed so you can merge safely into the traffic flow.
